Client Brief

This sideboard was commissioned to complement some cabinetry and bookshelving that we had installed previously in the client’s house.  We were asked to design a sideboard that would not only complement the existing furniture but would also provide practical, yet slimline storage space in the office area.

Finished Product

The finished sideboard works in beautifully with the existing shelving units in the office area, whilst being a simple, yet elegant and practical piece on its own. 

Two drawers provide discrete storage space whilst the open-ness of the design helps to ensure the small room it is housed in has a feel of compact use-ability, rather than the feeling that it is simply cluttered.

Materials

• Blackwood - we no longer work with blackwood as the timber dust is highly allergenic.
• Finished with Osmo Oil.
