Brief:

To design and build 3 x doors as part of a kitchen renovation.  With an affinity for glass, these clients were interested in having something unique designed to complement the kitchen and their suburban home in an older leafy suburb.

Result:

Gum leaves represented in glass and bamboo add interest to this simple, minimalist kitchen.  The colour in the glass varies throughout the leaves and the colour changes colour depending on the time of day and how much light shines behind the glass.  Coffee bamboo frames the leaves and natural ply bamboo makes up the doors, with different grain directions creating a subtle pattern behind the leaves.

The kitchen can be seen here.

Materials:

  • Natural bamboo ply
  • Glass
