Brief:

To build a round to round extension table as a feature for the client’s house, that fit in with the existing joinery (manufactured and installed by us previously) with a sleeker pedestal design than our previous design.

Result:

As the client’s internal joinery in her home features a lot of blackbutt, the table was built out of salvaged redgum with a blackbutt pedestal to create a feature that worked in with the blackbutt joinery.

The pedestal shape was designed into a sleeker, simpler design than our previous design whilst still maintaining the table’s stability even when extended.

The table is 1200mm round unextended and 1600mm round when extended. There is enough room to comfortably seat 8 people around the table when extended, however, being a round table, more people will fit around the table if necessary.

The table was finished with two coats of Osmo Oil

Materials:

  • Salvaged Redgum
  • Blackbutt
  • Forest Redgum veneer.
