Brief:
To design, manufacture and install two home offices for a professional couple who had recently moved to Canberra. Two offices, two different briefs, different designs, two completely different looks.
Office 1 required a desk with some book storage, an under desk unit and space for a TV that could be closed behind a door when not in use.
Result:
Two office spaces with simple, practical designs, yet completely different looks; giving each office its own unique personality.
Office 1 – A custom made under bench file and drawer unit sits underneath the desk, which also has a marmoleum surface. The bookshelves surround the TV – hidden behind a decorative glass and bamboo frame when not in use. The door covering the TV lifts up to use and a shaped timber piece hides the TV cabling between the TV unit and the desk.
The green Echo Panel provides a decorative backing to the bookshelves when not being used as a pinboard.
