Recycled timber bookshelves

Brief:

To design, manufacture and install solid timber bookshelves that would be an elegant feature in the older style home.

Result:

Being an older house in a leafy, established suburb, inspired the idea to create bookshelves with “tree branch supports”. The long lengths of shelves provide a large amount of storage space and the rounded ends taper gently to the wall.

Shaped bamboo provides both decorative and practical functions, supporting the books and creating a point of interest.

Materials:

• Recycled mixed brown timbers.
• Natural bamboo.
