Sydney 2000 Olympic Torch Board

Brief:
Design and build a display case for an Olympic torch from the Sydney 2000 Olympic Torch Relay that would also display an A4 photo and other Olympic memorabilia.

Result:

The contemporary design of the display case incorporates the curvature of the torch creating a space highlighting the curved design of the torch and its separate elements. The display case is simple, yet elegant.

The display case can be opened for occasional access to the contents, however, it has been deliberately designed to discourage everyday access.
